An online session on the “Prevention of Bullying through Sport”, held this Tuesday at EUSES by the Barça Foundation, was closely followed by some 120 participants from all of the different EUSES campuses (Salt, Terres de l’Ebre and Barcelona), members of the EUSES Alumni Association and the two Amerike campuses (CDMX and Guadalajara).
The training was provided by Ester Morillas, head of local programmes at the Barça Foundation, and Laura Sabaté, manager of the Bullying project at the Barça Foundation, and the main objectives were: to facilitate the detection of bullying among peers in the sports environment; to offer tools to sports coaches/educators to prevent bullying, based on education in values, emotions and social skills; to share educational strategies that help to redirect conflictive or aggressive behaviour; and to establish criteria and protocols for action in the event of bullying.
